Today, the production of translucent structures is constantly evolving. New, improved types of insulating glass units are constantly being introduced. One of these innovations is the gas-filled insulating glass unit, which offers a number of undeniable advantages, primarily improved thermal insulation properties, which is undoubtedly very important in our climate.
Spektr company offers its customers single-, double-, and triple-chamber insulating glass units filled with an inert gas (argon).
However, the question arises: how to test for the presence of gas in a glass unit? It is impossible to do this independently without special tools. Physically, the presence of gas cannot be determined by color, taste, and smell.
Modern energy efficiency requirements for window structures require strict quality control of the inert gas filling of insulating glass units. The key indicator is the oxygen concentration inside the chambers.
When producing translucent structures, Spektr LLC, in accordance with legal requirements, applies a formula to the spacer inside the insulating glass unit. This formula contains information about the presence of argon in the chambers, in combination with energy-efficient, multifunctional, tempered, and other types of glass.
Gas level monitoring is mandatory at our production facility. A portable laser device used at the facility measures oxygen levels and calculates the argon concentration in each insulating glass unit without compromising its integrity. In addition to in-house monitoring, Spektr submitted samples of its own gas-filled insulating glass units for testing to the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Certification Body for Design and Industrial Products in Construction "KrasnoyarskStroySertifikatsiya" (ANO "KrasnoyarskStroySertifikatsiya"). Our product samples successfully passed the test, as confirmed by Test Report No. 22 issued on June 29, 2026, by the LISK Testing Laboratory (RA.RU.22SL54).
